Hi, I'm Cassandra Allen-Brown from Bagsbycab.com and Yarn Shop in Denver, Colorado. Today, we will be reviewing instructions in how to crochet utilizing a slipknot and a single crochet foundation chain. The tools you will need for instructions on single crochet will be number one, your hook. Today, we are using a size G crochet hook and number two will be your yarn. Today, we are using a cotton yarn, 100 percent cotton, medium white. The first thing we need to do is make a slipknot for our foundation chain. Yarn over your index finger and your thumb, touch your index finger to your thumb and then pull the yarn through for your slipknot. And then all you have to do is adjust the size. You will then insert your hook in the loop for the slipknot and then you will begin your chain foundation for single crochet, yarn over, pull through, chain number one, yarn over, pull through, chain number two, yarn over, pull through, chain number three. Now we are going to make a single crochet stitch. Insert your hook in the second stitch chain from your hook, pull the yarn through, yarn over, pull it through, insert the hook into the second crochet chain, pull it through, yarn over, pull it through.
