Go out and find the line to drop out of the attic. Often the drip tube is a rigid PVC plastic pipe and in other cases, the drip line is a metal tube. Draw the line from the ground up to the point where it enters the attic. Take a mental note of place-for example, as part of the House on what is the approximate location and how it relates to the center of the wall.
2Go into the attic and locate the wall where the drip line extended up through and into the attic. Use a flashlight to help you if the attic does not have a lighting system installed.
3Trace the drip from the wall to the HVAC units or air conditioning. The drip line gives the drip pan. The drip tray resting under the large metal coils, which resemble large finned radiators.
