File your quilt on a flat surface. Work with the full size pyramid will make the process faster.
Measure the dimensions of the comforter to determine the width and length. The width will measure more than length.
Measure 69 inches in width and mark it with a piece of adhesive tape. Ribbon will be spot not the comforter, as would a permanent marker.
Place the vertical band on the area that you have marked previously, that extends from one end to the other.
Cut along the edge of the band with scissors sewing. Move carefully to reduce the straying away from the edge of the band.
Remove a half-inch of the cotton on the side. Use the scissors for this process to reduce inequality.
Fold the raw edges inward one-third of an inch, forming a fold. This hide rough edges and give the comforter sewing a finished look.
Initiate a process of weaving from the upper part of the comforter freshly cut with your sewing needles. Paste your thread through the needle hole sewing and tie a knot. Paste the needle through the two ends of the edge cut of the comforter and remove the needle through to create a mesh. Continue to stitch the comforter, avoiding cotton.
