How to remove a plugin from breech Shadow Knight

 Muzzleloaders have traditionally regarded as old-fashioned weapons, but there are modern versions. Muzzle-loading refers to black powder weapons that have the gunpowder and then the rounds loaded, rather than powder, cap and the bullet coming all in one piece. A challenge for hunters and a way of life for re-enactors, not all muzzleloaders are archaic weapons. Many of them, as the Shadow Knight, are modern weapons with modern shooters in mind. However, removing the breech plug can still be a bit of a pain, even with a weapon to break-open.Difficulty: moderately Easy1

Control the weapon to be sure it is safe to handle and downloaded. All weapons must be unloaded safely, with shifts removed, before attempting to disassemble and clean.

Open break of the shadow rider. Press the level and push down firmly on the barrel holding the stock. The breech will rotate about hinges, breaking open in a way similar to a double-barrelled shotgun.

Unscrew the breech with the breech plug removal provided. The plug to rotate counter-clockwise, loosening and out of the gun. The breech is on a simple lives and once removed you have access to both ends of the barrel of your shadow Knight.


You may be able to loosen the breech connector with your fingers, in which case you will need a tool.
